Rumors have been spread that Valter Lallemant might be leaving the team very shortly. After the last race in which he started as a captain (Ascona-Ascona), the 31 year old French International received a lot of criticism from the media and his manager Juan. In this race, Perry Dobbelaere outran him as a teammate by coming in as number 6. Valter Lallemant finished at the 53th place. "He hasn't been performing all season, but this is absolutely disgraceful, I think Valter's winning days might be over," said Juan after the race.
In a local newspaper this morning Valter Lallemant reacted on the rumors: "A couple days after Ascona-Ascona, manager Juan came to tell me there might no place left in the team for me in the future. I'm really disappointed. I do believe that I can still win my races, if not at disco cycling, somewhere else."
There have not been any official bids of any teams but Valter's future will be decided shortly.
